Texas Health Orthopedic Surgery Center – Heritage
The Texas Health Orthopedic Surgery Center provides a 16,950-square-foot, freestanding ambulatory surgical center to Fort Worth and surrounding communities. The facility is operated by Surgical Care Affiliates, which worked closely with Grace Hebert Curtis to develop the ideal design. That design has since become the organization’s new construction prototype.
Grace Hebert Curtis provided design and planning services both for the building’s shell and finish-out. The firm worked creatively within design parameters, using stone and a standing seam metal roof to blend into the existing campus while still presenting the structure as a state-of-the-art surgery center. After construction was complete, the Grace Hebert Curtis team even shadowed patients from registration through discharge to ensure that the facility responded to their needs and delivered the flow and function providers required.
The firm also was approved to join the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) list of pre-approved architects to perform future services for the client’s “flagship” ambulatory surgery centers across the country, some of which are already in design.
