GHC partnered with long time healthcare developer, Optimal Outcomes, LLC to design the 20,580 SF comprehensive cancer center for another successful project with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute. The facility’s dramatic tower element with sloped roof and clean lines provide a modern feel against the wetlands backdrop off Colonial Center Drive in Fort Myers, FL. The soothing and calm interiors create a healing environment for patients and their families. Large panoramic windows in the infusion and sub-wait areas bring in natural light and provide views of nature. Evidence-Based Design (EBD) and best practices were employed throughout the planning, designing and construction phases of the project. As a result, the state-of-the-art facility, now offers Lee County patients a center that improves quality of care by providing convenience and efficient design to enhance the overall patient/provider outcome helping to reduce patient stress and improve the healing process. Colonial Cancer Center provides 18 Medical Oncology Exam Rooms, Hematology, Lab for Clinical Research, Pharmacy Rx To Go, 51 Infusion Chairs, mobile PET/CT, Nutritional Education and Financial Counseling and Training Room spaces.
