Dunbar High School
The renovation of Dunbar High School breathed new life into this historic institution, preserving its legacy while modernizing the school. The transformation of the campus blends renovated structures with new construction, providing in a cohesive, safe, and efficient environment for students and staff. The expanded campus now accommodates up to 1,765 students, a significant increase from its previous capacity of 980.
Dunbar High School is distinguished as a magnet school with a strong focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. At the heart of the campus are hands-on instructional laboratories that provide students with unparalleled learning opportunities. These advanced labs include specialized facilities for mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, and graphic design. Additionally, the school boasts a nationally recognized Microsoft systems engineering lab, further enhancing its reputation as a leader in STEM education.
