Serving as the newest gunship variant of the C-130 aircraft platform, the Simulator and Fuselage Training Facility is a newly built controlled access training site for the AC-130J program, that provides training 24 hours, 5 days a week. This facility features an electro-motion simulator, fuselage trainer, aft cabin trainer, and rooms equipped for gun training and mission planning. The main feature of this facility is the supporting spaces set aside for user (19 SOS) to meet their AC-130J training objectives and throughput requirements. The building’s design features Air Force Standard Definitive Design aspects and is adapted to specific AC 130J training mission needs. Additionally, the structure’s layout supports any future additions for a Weapons Systems Training Simulator, Aft Cabin Trainer and Computer Room, and supporting functions.
