Lehigh Acres Fire Station #107
Based on the prototype design by GHC, Lehigh Acres Fire Station #107 is the third re-use of this design. The fire station features three apparatus bays for emergency vehicles and a decontamination area where firefighters can remove contaminated clothing, shower, and change into clean clothing before entering the building's living/workspace.
Fire Station #107 has 6 private bunk rooms and an Officer's Quarters with private bathroom and shower. The facility includes a dayroom, kitchen/dining area, fitness room, and a watch room for on-site training. There are restrooms accessible to the public while maintaining necessary security protocols for the staff within the building. The finishes have been selected to be durable because of the 24/7 use the fire station receives. Designed to withstand 170 MPH winds, the facility is equipped with emergency generator power capable of operating portions of the building for 72-Hours without refueling.
