Will Rogers Memorial Center Cattle Barn 2
The existing space was renovated to bring the well-used barn up to modern-day, state-of-the-art standards. The renovation created an opportunity for the City and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo to upgrade the barn to today’s standards for housing animal exhibits and horse shows, while maintaining the original character of the barn originally built in the 1940s designed by Wyatt Hedrick. New features of the space include new lighting, fire protection, restored windows and doors, wider stalls and walking areas. The biggest improvement is in the electrical system and convenience outlets along the stall walls. The renovation required us to completely strip the barn down to its frame and upgrade the entire infrastructure. The original masonry facade and historic art were salvaged and reused.
