The Bridgeton Recreation Center replaces an outdated 1980s facility with a modern, state-of-the-art space designed to serve the diverse needs of the community. Positioned northwest of the former building, the new center was strategically placed to allow continued use of the old facility during construction. The recreation center now offers a comprehensive range of amenities that promote health, wellness, and community engagement, enhancing the overall experience for visitors of all ages.

Upon entering the upper-level main lobby, guests are welcomed with expansive views of the gymnasium and natatorium below. The upper level features a running and jogging track that encircles the two-court gymnasium, providing a scenic and energizing exercise experience. Secure access to the building’s activity zones is monitored from the centrally located control desk, ensuring a safe and organized flow throughout the facility. In addition to fitness areas, the upper level includes accessible “free zone” spaces such as the parks and recreation offices, meeting rooms, a game room, and an aerobics room—all open to visitors without requiring check-in.

The lower level is dedicated to high-energy activities and fitness, featuring a spacious cardio and free weights area, a two-court gymnasium, and a dedicated party room for events and celebrations. The natatorium, visible from the lobby above, is a key highlight of the center, providing aquatic fitness and recreation opportunities for the community.
