Maricopa USD Desert Sunrise High School was developed to address the district’s rapid population growth and the need for a modern educational facility. After more than six decades with only one high school, the community recognized the importance of creating a future-ready institution that could serve generations of students. Led by an experienced superintendent, the project was designed to provide a lasting educational asset that would support Maricopa’s expanding needs.

Built to accommodate 1,700 students, the school provides a dynamic and comprehensive environment designed to meet the needs of a growing community. Facilities include classrooms, a cafeteria, a lecture hall, a library, a career center, a gymnasium, and athletic fields. Each space was thoughtfully planned to support both academic pursuits and extracurricular activities, offering students a well-rounded educational experience.
