We're looking for an IT Assistant to join our team in Baton Rouge.

The IT Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance and will be expected to diagnose problems successfully by telephone, remote access tools, as well as onsite visits. The IT Assistant will report to the IT Administrator.

Required Skills

  • Applicants must have one (1) or more years of experience with the Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems and the Microsoft Office/Office 365 suite of applications.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, setting up, supporting, and repairing computers and related equipment in a Windows environment
  • Configuring and supporting packaged software such as Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems
  • Installation and setup of Windows-based software and users via Exchange / Active Directory management.
  • Answering employee inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
  • Installing and performing minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
  • Conferring with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
  • Troubleshoot audio/video remote conferencing software and hardware on request
  • Entering commands and observing system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
  • Overnight travel will occasionally be required.
